Once again… Its time to Pray

February 26, 2010

We just got word that there are 4 more women who are pregnant with mingi children, and in the past we have found that these cases of mingi are the hardest to convince the families not to kill the children.   Lale has arranged a meeting with the elders to see if they are willing to make an official ruling on these children’s lives but he is not sure if they will go with it.  We are praying that the families fall in love with the unborn children and that God speaks to them about their lives, we are doing everything we can to be ready to get out to the different villages in a hurry once the children are born.  Lale says that all of them are more than 7 months pregnant.

We will let you know when we know more but for now please pray that things work out.

  6. I am praying what Erica is…

  7. I will be praying. Out of curiosity, b/c I am a very analytical person, how do they decide before a child is born that it is “mingi”? I can see how a behavior or strange occurrence could cause a ruling of mingi, but how is it decided before birth? I am trying to better understand the culture so I can pray better.

    Thanks,
    Dawn

  8. question: someone may have addressed this in past posts, but I was wondering how these women know (or why do they believe) the unborn babies are “mingi”?

    praying!!

  9. We will pray – please keep us updated.

  10. Dawn and Tanya,

Please see the post from last week titled “Answers” for a description of the three ways that a child can be labeled Mingi. Two of them apply to unborn children.
