Sort of mixed news today… We were able to save one little two year old boy today named Labuko! And although we could not be more excited to be bringing him into the home we were very sad to learn that a few more did not make it. We were apparently a day late for at least two others, it was unclear if there were any more than two, but there are two we know of for sure who were killed. There are just not words to describe how sad this is.
Today however we are choosing to focus on the one that God has brought into our arms, we are thankful for this precious life, and are going to be just that much more determined to get out there faster next time.
Please pray for the families who lost children this past week. We were not able to find out exactly what happened but we know that there are some terribly sad families today, families who will never forget the children that they had to give up. Indescribable, the pain they must be feeling….

Praying for you! Hoping that the GOOD NEWS will permiate these tribes. What an awesome testimony to God if at some point the kids that you have saved could be reunited with their families b/c the tribes have found the hope and peace and freedom that God provides.

Thank you for the update. It really breaks ones heart to know that two were killed. How do the families cope with the lost? Are they numb to this fate because it is part of their tradition/culture or do they mourn? Has things changed in their heart because they know there is hope of their children being rescued by Lale?

I am so grateful for all you are doing! I can only wait with great anticipation for the day to come when God’s love radically changes these tribes hearts and traditions.

Levi I am heavily burdened by ya’lls lack of a car. I wish we had the money to send your way. Praying God gives the Brown family creativity to find a way to get y’all this car. How much do y’all need to purchase one?

Desi,
We need (Cringe…) 40,000 for a new car. The government charges a 345% tax on cars here. Unless you are a non profit (which we are) But in order to buy a car tax free you have to buy a brand new car. So, we are stuck buying a new landcrusier as its the only car that can make the trip to the middle of nowhere…

Levi-What about shipping or importing one that you already own from a nearby country or the US? Have you looked into that. Could it be cheaper?
