Another 24 hours has gone by and we still have not found a car to rent. All we can do is hope and pray that something becomes available and that we are not to late for these kids to be saved.
Many of you commented on the last post about gathering donations for the car. We have been timid about changing the focus on here from the monthly expenses towards the vehicle because we have not yet met our monthly budget. Its sort of a catch 22, we spend more than we want to every month because we have to rent cars all the time to pick up kids but if we start getting people to focus on funding the car purchase than we will not have enough to pay the bills every month for the orphanage. We are literally at the bottom of the barrel with funds, this past week we spent the last penny in the account. Our drive for 76 new $25 monthly commitments still needs 41 more people to make it and we are trying to be careful to keep that going on not get everyone focused on a car instead.
Sorry to ramble off but there does not seem to be a real answer to this problem right now. We need a car to save more kids but we also need money to feed the ones we already have. There is just no easy way to make it all come together.
It all becomes so real when we loose kids like we did last week and we are trying to do everything we can to make sure that it does not happen again this week. Its just not coming together the right way and its frustrating…
I will keep you posted as we learn more.
And if there is anyone out there who wants to help support the purchase of a vehicle we set up a link on the donate page where you can designate funds towards the car. We just have to pray that we don’t divert everything there and not to the kids…

Levi. This seems like wisdom. You need both, so ask for both and provide the means for people to give to both.
We’ll be praying for the kids and for your family.

It is a terrible dilemma to be in. I am sorry that you have to face it. My heart breaks every time I read about more children lost so I can only imagine what you guys on the front line are feeling. At the same time, it is true that you have to establish the orphanage for the children as well otherwise you are going to have an even larger problem on your hands. Remember God is not a God of confusion as you maneuver all these things. We will pray that God gives you wisdom as a team and of course we will continue to pray for resources as well!

I totally understand not wanting to divert funds. The question is, “If someone had the means and was willing to buy a vehicle, how much would be required to make the purchase that you need?”
