Not more than five hours after we got the first call this morning did Eric have a happy healthy 10 month old baby girl in his arms and was making his way across the country in a helicopter, taking her to the safety and loving arms of our nannies in the orphanage. I am amazed at how everything came together and worked out so smoothly today, but most of all we are relieved that she is healthy and did not need to go to the hospital. I feel like I can finally exhale. There is no way to explain what it feels like to get that call and know that you do not have much time to save the life of a child, its intense to say the least.
I will let you know how she is settling in her new surroundings…
