I mentioned a while back that the government was asking that we provide a letter from the local police on each child certifying their situation with the tribes. Today was the day that we finally got to sit in front of the police and work through the wording on the letters. We should have them in hand by the end of the week. I know its not much in the way of big progress but it feels good after waiting around for the past month for anything to happen on the adoption front. Also I heard today that the first of the families who is interested in adopting completed their home study! Just one inch closer to getting these kids in stable homes.

Hey Levi and Jessie,
It’s so wonderful that there are so many generous people willing to adopt these kids and take care of them. It really shows God’s spirit of love. Please don’t take offense to my next question because I think that we you are doing is amazing.
I’m just curious as to whether it is a possibility to have these kids adopted to African parents living in Africa? This is just something I have been wondering about for a while. There is a part of me that is saddened that they would be taken out of Africa and moved to the west.

This is wonderful. You are all amazing. Just as I have a question in mind the next post answers it. Progress may seem slow to you but think of all that you have accomplished in just five months.
