I spoke with Lale yesterday for quite a while, he was telling me all about the festival we hosted in the tribes. The goal of the festival was to speak with them about the mingi practice and our orphanage. More than 60 government officials and tribal leaders came, plus quite a few tribal members. Lale is very excited that they are all recognizing the orphanage as a viable alternative to this terrible practice. The big news for us is that Lale says we can expect more kids to start coming now, it has been more than 6 months since we got the last one and we were begining to think that we might not be getting more, but now… Lale says the gates are open and that any baby who is born Mingi will be coming our way. We have been talking a lot about what that means, we are not really set up to take in babies and need to rework a few things in able to handle them. We may even keep the youngest ones seperate in another building. Its kind of overwhelming to think of what it would take to be able to handle more than a couple babies but by the sound of it we need to start planning now.

I have loved reading this blog and about all that has been going on. I am praying for you guys. Getting the updates is like a good book, I just want to know more. I was just telling a complete stranger at work tonight about you guys and what you are doing…she had two kids and adopted seven!! I will continue to pray for you all and think it is awesome that you have built the relationships with the tribes so that more lives can be saved!!

Wow! This is amazing! Thank you so much to you and your family and your staff for being there to save these children. God is using your ministry to save these precious children. I think about the mingi children all the time and I’m broken-hearted. I noticed that you hadn’t received any children in a while and I’m so encouraged that the tribes and their leaders are looking favorably upon you guys. I will continue to pray that they will send every child your way and that you will have the wisdom and resources to know what to do.
