Many of you heard that Vanessa a good friend of ours has been in-country with her mother Paula for the past month. They went to help get things in order at the orphanage while we worked on getting ourselves ready to go. We just heard from Vanessa today that they are headed out on the two day car trip back to the capitol where they will fly baack here to the States. They said it was very hard to leave the kids because they had become so attached to them over the past month.
That means that for the next 3 weeks the orphanage will be entirely in the hands of the local staff. We are blessed to have many competent people who have been hired locally and feel confident that things will be fine when we get there, its just hard because they speak very little english and we do not have much contact with them via phones or email. So we sort of have to just go on faith that the kids will all be healthy and things will go smoothly. There is also the possibility that more children come in the next three weeks. We are at 10 right now and already busting at the seems in the house we rented, if we get more than 12 or 13 we are going to be out looking for a new house to rent (again).
The good news is Vanessa will be here next week with more pictures to post on the blog here! Stay tuned….

I just read about your mission in The Sac Business Journal. This Website doesn’t mention where donations by check can be mailed?

Thanks for asking. We are able to take them online, just click the above “donate” button. You reminded that we need to post an address to mail checks to. We will get that on here right away.
Thank you!
