Its raffle time!

April 14, 2009

Many of you have emailed and asked what you can do to help out with the orphanage and the kids over in Africa that we are going to help and I think I have just the thing.

We are going to have a raffle and see if we can’t raise some money for these kids.  Are you ready for this?  Because we not only need you to buy raffle tickets but we need you to send this post around to everyone you know to see if we can’t raise some serious money for them.

What is this raffle for you ask?   Well its for a 2009 Honda Metropolitan scooter of coarse!

Scooter

It was used as the office scooter for LJ Urban, (where I work(ed)) we purchased it in February and has only 150 miles on it.  Since we are moving to Ethiopia we are not going to need it anymore we figure we should put it to good use!     Check out the Honda site for all the juicy details like the fact that it gets nearly 100 miles to the gallon or that you do not need a motorcycle license to drive one…

All proceeds will go directly to support the children in Ethiopia.  All you need to do is jump over to the LJ Urban blog where we have the raffle set up and select how many tickets you want to buy.  We would have it done here but this blog is not set up for doing sales transactions yet (but you can donate here) and the LJ Urban one is. After you have purchase your tickets then just keep your fingers crossed. Your tickets will be added to the raffle and we will announce the winner at the end of the month. It doesn’t get more simple than that!

And for those of you who have blogs please help us get the word out on the raffle. These kids need all the help they can get.

Happy raffling!
